RESEARCH RELAY LTD

Research relay was established by Dennis Gowland in 2002 to focus on project writing and co-ordination as well as technology transfer. Although Mr Gowland has undertaken an administrative role in the keyzones project, he has had 20 years of practical shellfish farming and hatchery management. This field based work is run from the Orkney Islands by Mr Gowlands other business; North Bay Shellfish.

Both Research relay and North Bay Shellfish are involved in several aquaculture projects throughout Europe which are funded by the European Union.

Having the role of administrator, Mr Gowland is responsible for maintaining the pace of the project, contract writing and organising the funding and distribution of cash flow. Also he acts as mediator between the partners of the project who are located all over Europe.
